Breaking The CODE

At some point in our lives we have all done this one simple thing that we KNOW we shouldn't have done, but out of being angry and needing to know we have anyway.

We have all BROKE THE CODE. What is this that I am talking about?

Well....there have been times within our relationships we have had that 6th sense that has told us the person we were dating is cheating on us, right? Yeah....you've been there, don't lie! But just having that gut feeling wasn't enough for you. You just had to find out for yourself. You wanna know who this person is that your mate is talking to all the time and you start seeing their name repeatedly. So you did the whole going thru the phone and snooping stage! Therefore, you BROKE THE CODE!!!!

Has someone ever called you asking you, "do you know so and so?" Your first thought is who in the hell is this calling me? Or either you have called someone asking the same question. Now here is the crazy part. You call them with an attitude because you "think" something is going on but you really don't know...LOL ~ So why do you have an attitude with them to begin with??? LOL

On the other hand, if you are the person receiving the phone call, when they come at you with this question of whether or not you know a particular person, your first intention is to ask, "who's calling?" I know mine is.....Of courset whomever is calling you will have a very slick ass response for you probably along the lines of "my name is ____, I am ___ man/girlfriend." Yes I have been on both ends of this equation before! We'll get to that later! LOL....

Now that someone has called you asking about their mate, what do you do? Do you jump defensive and tell them everything they want to know? Do you protect the person they are calling about? Or do you get your "grown folk" on and tell them in a polite voice, "excuse me but please don't call my phone asking me about ANYBODY. Check your girl or your man."

I watched for the Love of Ray J last night with a friend on the phone and witnessed Ray J doing this very thing! I was in total shock that even he would do something like this! Come to find out, it was a guy he knew by the name of "Chicago Larry." LMAO.....some damn video chick manager! If you go looking for it, guess what? You will find out things you REALLY do not want to know!

I am going to let everyone else have a stab at this before I tell you what I would do and what I have done in this situation. Yes it will shock the shit out of you but hey.....that's life! LOL...

*Disclaimer: If you are currently a friend of mine (male) and have potential crazy girlfriends, friends of whatever that like to call people's phones, let me forewarn you. I truly hope they don't call my phone. It's not a good ending to that situation with me. This is where the nickname "Tatto" was born! Anitra can attest to this!
